About ANAB
ANAB is the ANSI National Accreditation Board. It is a non-profit organization that oversees administration and coordination of standards and technical regulations in the U.S. ANAB provides a framework for fair standard development and represents the interests of more than 270,000 organizations and 30 million professionals worldwide. Userve’s course is ANAB-accredited.
The state of Hawaii passed legislation requiring food handler training certificate programs to be accredited. Userve training is accredited. Food handlers in Hawaii must complete accredited training to receive a valid Food Handlers Certificate, required for employment in the food service industry. If your training isn’t accredited, it will not be recognized by the state. Userve’s course is ANAB-accredited.
Requirements & Access
An internet-enabled device includes computers, tablets or mobile devices. You'll also need a modern web browser that has Javascript enabled, an email address to enroll in the course and a PDF Reader to access student resources. The Adobe PDF Reader is free to download.

Assessments & Final Exam
At the end of the Hawaii Food Handler Training Course, you will be required to complete a final exam that you must pass in order to get your certificate. You have 3 attempts to pass the final exam and you must score at least 70%.
Certificate Information
To get a Food Handlers Card, also known as a Food Handlers Certificate, you must obtain accredited food handler training and successfully pass a final exam. Userve’s food handler course is ANAB-accredited. Some counties may also issue their own Food Handlers Card, so it is recommended to check with your local health agency for more information.
